Miroslaw Matyasik started with artistic activity in 1996. Mainly as the musician, but for 3 years also as an actor. This one man project hailing from Poland works in the electronic music tradition with contemporary "intelligent electronic" sounds.
Acclaimed by electronic music enthusiasts and critics all over the world with his first appearance on the split Cd “Chemical Elements 1.0”, he finally presents his much awaited debut solo album.
Ch.District creates obscure and liquid molecular electronica that evolves around downtempo and airy ambience but also carry away with some clean and exciting beats. Abrasively intact rhythms slide smoothly across a sea of slippery clicks and tweaks, some could think about Arovane or Richard Devine but Ch.District creates a unique atmosphere.
The album is enriched with 4 brilliant remixes executed by Kero (USA/ShitKatapult), Dither (France/M-Tronic), Telemetrik (Canada) and Diakof (Poland/M-Tronic), and a videoclip of the opening track “Tiot” in the Rom part!

Laissez vous glisser dans le monde des rêves, bercer par ces douces mélodies incontestablement empreintes de mélancolie (le magnifique "glossy" en tête). Miroslaw Matyasik nous livre un album homogène mais d'une grande qualité, nous laissant très loin de l'ennui tellement il serre le coeur. Le remix de Dither, autre maître du genre, ne jure pas avec le reste, tandis que Telemetrik apporte une légère touche dancefloor, et Kero un aspect plus breakbeat. Enfin, l'album s'achève sur un merveilleux remix de Diakoff, utilisant de savoureux airs de cuivre. Après une discographie sans faute, CH District devient avec "Slides" une figure de proue de la scène électronique polonaise et assurement un artiste majeur de l'electronica.
